RESCUE WILDLIFE MISSION!

Went on my first rescue wildlife mission today with one of the girls I work with! It was so exciting we got a call in Eureka (the town over) that there was an injured bird in her bush and for us to come down and pick it up. We drove down to the woman’s house net and all and as a team, her urging the bird in my direction and me capturing with a net, captured a Eurasian Collared Dove. Such a beautiful bird, took it back to the center and had it examined. It was definitely cat caught and had a deep cut and a multiple primary feathers missing gave it some meds, food, and water now all there is to do is watch. Hopefully it goes well and he recovers soon I’ll know by next Tuesday, what an accomplishing and inspiring day! Now off to work on my ethnic studies paper on Chinese Americans woot!
